On at least two occasions, on Independence Day, Capital Christian Church, in Troy, New York, conducted special services to honor those who served in public service, to pray for them, and to give each a plaque noting the churches commitment to pray for them.
In this picture, Pastor Frank Becker, was awarding one of these plaques to Assemblyman Neil Kelleher. Assemblyman Kelleher frequently stood as a protective barrier between the church and local bureaucrats and educators.
