In Book 2, the amnesiac’s adventure continues. Calling himself “CC” for one of the sets of initials he found in his wedding ring, he has discovered a remote corner of New England where he hopes to make a safe home, but must overcome a number of harrowing experiences. In a very short time he finds himself taking responsibility for a seven-year old girl and a teenage boy.

The titles of the books in “The Chronicles of CC” are all from the 4th stanza of “The Star Spangled Banner.”
