“WHO AM I?”
Series in Evangelism, Part 2

INTRODUCTION
* Today’s Special: “Crowded Store”
“It was the day of the big sale. Rumors of the sale (and some advertising in the local papers) were the main reason for the long line that formed by 8:30, the store’s opening time, in front of the store.
A small man pushed his way to the front of the line, only to be pushed back, amid loud and colorful curses. On the man’s second attempt, he was punched square in the jaw, and knocked around a bit, and then thrown to the end of the line again. As he got up the second time, he said to the person at the end of the line…
‘That does it! If they hit me one more time, I won’t open the store!’”
* Today’s lesson should enable us to answer the questions, “Who can evangelize? Who does God want to share His love?”
Here is an outline – encouraging you to look up each passage to see the key thought visualized!
PRAYER
Each point starts with the question, “Who am I….”
I. That
You Even Look At Me? (Exodus 3:11)
“But Moses said to
God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring
the children of Israel out of Egypt?””
Key
thought: Hunger!
II.
That You Should Choose Me? (1 Samuel
18:18)
“So David said to Saul, “Who am I, and what is
my life or my father’s family in Israel, that I should be
son-in-law to the king?””
Key thought:
Heritage!
III.
That I Can Offer My All for You? (1 Chron. 29:14)
“But
who am I, and who are my people,
That we should be able to offer so willingly as this?
For all things come from You [lit., from Your hand],
And
of Your own we have given You.”
Key
thought: Hand!
IV. That
I Should Attempt Great Things For You? (2 Chron. 2:6)
“But
who is able to build Him a temple, since heaven and the heaven of
heavens cannot contain Him? Who am I then, that I should build Him a
temple, except to burn sacrifice before Him?”
Key
thought: Heaven!
CONCLUSION:
But
the really BIG question that we all need to ask is:
“Who are YOU?” (Acts 9:5)
“And he said, “Who are You, Lord?”
Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.[a] It is hard for you to kick against the goads.””
Key thought: Humble!
